Demonstration

SCOTTISH LIBERAL DEMOCRATS SPRING CONFERENCE, EDEN COURT, INVERNESS
This is the date that we had been informed Chris Huhne MP was attending before his resignation. We are waiting for confirmation that his successor, Ed Davey, will be attending. Other Westminster MPs are expected to be there. Westminster makes the policy regarding funding wind farm development and is directly responsible for what is happening to our communities and environment. Windfarm developers receive a generous subsidy financed by domestic and industrial electricity consumers. Without this subsidy developers would not be constructing the windfarms which are devastating our country.
Without windfarm planning applications and Public Inquiries councils would have much more money to spend in our communities.
We may not have an opportunity like this again, in the foreseeable future, to make our feelings known to the Westminster MPs here in Scotland.
Your support is essential. We need big numbers to make a big impact so please pass this message on to other windfarm protestors.
Stop Highlands Windfarms Campaign is applying for permission to march through Inverness to Eden Court. In any event there will be a demonstration at the front of Eden Court from 12 noon.
Times and details of possible march to be confirmed but if permission is granted we plan to meet, at a location to be confirmed, at 11 am. Please watch this website for updates.

NEWS JUST RELEASED :

101 CONSERVATIVE MPS HAVE WRITTEN TO DAVID CAMERON DEMANDING THAT ONSHORE WIND SUBSIDIES ARE SLASHED.

IT IS NOW EVEN MORE IMPORTANT THAT WE TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW THE LIBERAL DEMOCRATS HERE IN SCOTLAND AND IN WESTMINSTER THAT WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH AND WE SUPPORT THE RECENT ACTION IN WESTMINSTER.

IF THEY WANT OUR VOTES THEY SHOULD SUPPORT IT TOO.
