Monta is a relatively young American brand but one that quickly earned attention for the level of execution on its watches. When they first came onto the scene people were comparing the finishing to Rolex, which sounds like nonsense until you actually handle one. It is not about brand, it is about how well the thing is made. Monta got that right from the start.
I have had an Ocean King in my own collection which is probably their most well known model and it is the same story here. The quality is obvious as soon as you pick it up. Case work is sharp, transitions are clean and the bracelet is properly sorted. It is one of those watches that does not need explaining, it just feels right.
The Noble is the simplest watch they make but also the one that shows the brand most clearly. Three hands, no complications, just a clean dial and good proportions. Nothing is overdone and nothing is missing. It is a watch you can wear every day without thinking about it but one that still holds your attention when you look a bit closer.
Condition and performance
The watch is in very good condition with visible but light signs of wear.
Supplied on a Monta bracelet showing light marks consistent with wear. Complete with one spare link.
Comes boxed (supreme quality!) with owner’s manual, cleaning cloth and warranty card.
