Buy it if you want: a modern take on a super compressor from a superb British brand
Description
Farer was founded in 2015 with the aim of combining British design with Swiss watchmaking. In a relatively short period, the brand has established a distinctive identity in the crowded independent-watch sector, building a reputation for imaginative use of colour, strong typography and thoughtful dial design. While many brands lean heavily on vintage recreation, Farer tends to take familiar watch formats and reinterpret them through a more contemporary lens.
That emphasis on design is supported by genuinely strong specifications. Across its collections, Farer has consistently paired well-executed cases and dials with quality Swiss movements, creating watches that offer both character and substance. The result is a catalogue that feels cohesive and recognisably Farer, whether the watch in question is a GMT, chronograph or dive watch.
The Aqua Compressor Endeavour II is Farer's modern take on the compressor-style dive watch. While the original Endeavour established the formula, the second generation refines it with an updated Grade 2 titanium case, improved proportions and a cleaner overall execution. The result is a watch that feels lighter, more comfortable and more contemporary, whilst retaining all the character that made the originalsuch a compelling alternative to mainstream dive watches.
The 41mm tonneau-shaped titanium case wears noticeably smaller than its dimensions suggest, thanks to a compact 45mm lug-to-lug measurement and a flowing profile that curves naturally around the wrist. Brushed surfaces dominate the design, contrasted by polished case sides, while the twin-crown layout remains true to the classic Super Compressor blueprint. One crown operates the movement, theother controls the internal rotating dive bezel, maintaining the distinctive look that separates compressor divers from their conventionalbezel-equipped counterparts.
