Description
Tissot is one of the stalwarts of Swiss watchmaking, long associated with solid engineering and accessible pricing rather than exclusivity or hype. The PRX line is based on an original Tissot design from the late 1970s and has become one of the brand’s most successful modern releases, largely because it delivers the integrated‑bracelet sports watch look in a straightforward and well‑executed way.
This is the PRX Automatic Chronograph, which builds on the familiar PRX case and bracelet by adding a full mechanical chronograph layout. The angular tonneau case, integrated bracelet and flat profile remain, but the presence is noticeably increased compared to the time‑only PRX. At 42mm and with a thicker case to accommodate the movement, it feels purposeful and substantial on the wrist.
Power comes from Tissot’s Valjoux A05.H31 automatic chronograph movement, derived from the venerable 7753 architecture and offering a healthy power reserve. The chronograph layout is clear and legible, the bracelet is well finished and comfortable, and the overall package feels robust and coherent. This is not a subtle watch and as a modern Swiss automatic chronograph with strong design continuity, it represents very good value.
Condition and performance
The watch is in excellent condition with only minor signs of careful use.
Supplied on its bracelet showing light marks consistent with wear. Will fit up to around a 6.75 inch wrist - please ask if you need additional links as I should be able to source. Also comes with a Delugs rubber strap cut to a similar size.
Comes boxed with owner’s manual, cleaning cloth and warranty booklet/card.
